Chefchaouen Day Trip from Fes
The Blue Pearl of the Rif in one full day: blue-washed lanes, the kasbah square, and the Spanish Mosque viewpoint at sunset.
How the day goes
Morning: early pickup from your riad or hotel in Fes. The drive north crosses the Rif foothills โ roughly four hours each way โ with a comfort stop on the road.
Midday: arrive in Chefchaouen and meet your local medina guide. Walk the blue-washed lanes, Plaza Uta el-Hammam with its kasbah walls, and the historic core. Lunch at your own pace in a medina restaurant (your guide suggests reliable local addresses).
Afternoon: free time for photography and the small artisan shops, then the short walk up to the Spanish Mosque for the classic sunset panorama over the blue town. Optional extension toward the Akchour waterfalls for walkers with more time โ ask in advance.
Evening: drive back to Fes, drop-off at your accommodation. A long day, but the only way to see the Blue Pearl without changing hotels.
