Agadir
Long Atlantic beaches and a relaxed seafront rhythm — plus surf at Taghazout and hidden gorges in the Anti-Atlas.
Agadir – Morocco’s Beach City
Sunshine, long Atlantic beaches and a laid-back seaside town — a different, more modern Morocco for those who want the coast, the surf and the Souss Valley.
Agadir is Morocco’s big beach city — rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake around a bay of golden sand under the Anti-Atlas. It is the choice for travellers who want looser days: a long promenade, relaxed cafés, a marina and easy access to the surf town of Taghazout.
Beyond the beach, the region offers the deep bergamot-green gorges of Paradise Valley, the old port of Essaouira’s southern cousin Sidi Ifni on a longer extension, and the low-key walled town of Taroudant to the east. It also pairs naturally with a route that reaches the Sahara further south.
“Agadir is where the trip breathes. No labyrinth medina, no touts — just the Atlantic, long lunches and the Souss in the distance.” — Karim, guide
