Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech β†’ Dades Valley (stops at Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate). Overnight hotel with dinner.

Day 2: Dades Valley β†’ Todra Gorge β†’ Merzouga. Camel trek at sunset, overnight in desert camp with dinner & music.

Day 3: Sunrise camel trek, breakfast, return to Marrakech (arrival evening).

What is the desert camp like? +
Our camps have comfortable tents with real mattresses and blankets. Shared bathrooms with basic facilities. In the evening you'll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner around a campfire with music.
Is the camel trek comfortable? +
Yes! The trek lasts about 45 minutes each way at a gentle walking pace. You can also walk alongside the camel if you prefer. It's suitable for most people including beginners.
What should I pack for the desert? +
Bring layers β€” the desert is hot in the day but cold at night. A warm jacket for evenings, comfortable shoes for dune hiking, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a headscarf. We provide blankets at camp.
Is this tour suitable for solo travelers? +
Absolutely! Many of our travelers come alone. You'll share the tour with other travelers in the group, making it a great opportunity to meet people from around the world.
How far is Merzouga from Marrakech? +
It's about 560 km (9-10 hours drive). We make several scenic stops along the way including Ait Benhaddou (UNESCO site), Ouarzazate, and the Todra Gorge. The journey is part of the experience!
