Casablanca: The White City
Morocco's economic capital and main international gateway — one great mosque, one long corniche, and the start of most Moroccan journeys.
Land, see the mosque, roll on
Almost every Morocco trip starts at Casablanca's Mohammed V airport — and the city earns its half-day. The Hassan II Mosque, rising over the Atlantic on pillars and promontory, is among the largest mosques on earth and one of very few in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors on guided tours. The Ain Diab Corniche then gives you ocean air before the route begins.
To here the country opens in every direction: fast trains to Rabat and Tangier, the road to Marrakech, and our airport pickup whenever you land. See also our Rabat & Casablanca route overview.
Highlights
- Hassan II Mosque — guided interior visit, minaret 210 metres over the ocean.
- Ain Diab Corniche — beach clubs, cafés and sunset walks.
- Habous quarter — the orderly "new medina" for crafts and olives.
- Old medina & port — small, quick, authentic edges.

Casablanca questions
Is Casablanca worth staying in?
For half a day — the Hassan II Mosque is unmissable and the Corniche is pleasant, but the city's role is gateway. We route your days toward the medinas, mountains and desert.
How do I get from the airport to my trip?
Send your flight details and our airport transfer meets you at arrivals — then your driver, train or first night takes over. Arrange it here.
Casablanca or Marrakech to start?
Most flights land in Casablanca; most routes begin properly in Marrakech or Rabat. We handle either — tell us your flights and we sequence it.
